While doing a shoot in Boston, I decided to stop by the Prudential Center and check out Top of the Hub. I didn’t know what to expect since the entire day it was raining and very cloudy. Just as I got up to the 50th floor, the sky cleared and the sun was setting. What a beautiful sight but there was a huge problem, there were major reflections on the windows that I was looking out of. I made many attempts to cover the light to reduce reflections, as you can see here:
Yeah, that didn’t work out too well, I couldn’t let that frustrate me. I played with different ideas until I figured it made sense to put the camera and tripod as close to the window as possible. Put my jacket over the camera and lens. After pressing the shutter release, I had to act like a contortionist and block certain reflections on the glass. These were the results:
