“After getting engaged this past summer and finding the perfect dress I was eager to get my bridal portraits done. I heard about Robert and after contacting him and trying to decide on a place to take my pictures he was able to coordinate an amazing venue to take them at, the Swan House at the Atlanta History Center!

I was so excited to be able to take them there and was even more pleased when I saw the results of Robert’s skill and hard work! He did a phenomenal job of using the beautiful property that we were at to get some amazing shots while making the experience great for me and always making sure that I was comfortable. “I contacted Robert and he was very friendly and flexible when it came to scheduling for my wedding bridal session. I really appreciated his communication because it made me feel like this bridal session was just as important to him as it was to me. The morning of the shoot was windy and I was nervous. My maid of honor came along to touch me up when needed. Robert made me feel very relaxed which really helped my attitude throughout the morning, which gave me confidence that the pictures would be beautiful. Although the weather was not on our side, Robert remained calm, which made me feel completely comfortable.

Overall, I had a very enjoyable experience working with Robert Bromfield. After the session, Robert emailed me to thank me for my participation. “Robert was very flexible when it came to my schedule and moved the meeting several times to accommodate me. This alone would be enough to recommend him, but the photo shoot is where Robert definitely shines. He already had several spots picked out at Piedmont Park, having scouted these prior to our meeting. I haven’t visited the park very often so Robert let me know exactly where to park, even offering to meet me and let me follow him to the parking deck. Robert and I walked over to the spot and he talked to me about what he had in mind for the shoot. Then he asked my opinion. I did have some ideas that I thought about offering, but I wasn’t sure a professional photographer would want to hear them. He was, however, extremely receptive about hearing what I thought.

The session itself went really well. I told Robert that it helps for me to loosen up if he would talk to me while taking shots, which he happily did. This made the whole session so much easier for me. He had three spots picked out and each was better than I anticipated. Robert definitely has the vision as a photographer, while being flexible to my needs, to get the best out of his clients. For example, I told him that I have a “fake smile” that sometimes crops up and Robert caught that little bit of my personality during the shoot. He asked me several times if this shot was a “fake smile.” This, in and of itself, loosened me up to display a real smile.

If I had to pick one attribute that I would look for in a photographer, aside from the ability to take great pictures (which Robert has) it would be the ability to make the client feel at ease and Robert definitely has this trait.“ — Damian Reeder
