First, I would like to congratulate Veronique on her wedding this past weekend and now we can post our picks from Veronique’s bridal session! As mentioned in a previous blog entry, we started the session at Lillian Webb Park and as the session progressed we ended at the Carlyle House. With such a rich blue sky that morning we had to use some high powered lights to ensure that we retained the nice blue gradient in the sky while still keeping Veronique exposed properly. Here’s an example of some of the lighting challenges that we faced without using strobes to keep the sky a rich blue. Here are the portraits, enjoy:
Throughout the session, Veronique always has a smile on her face and it really shows in her portraits. Check back later for a behind the scenes fun photo that had us laughing.
This portrait really grabbed my attention. The sunlight is doing two things here for me; it is creating a nice outline on Veronique’s right arm and it is also shining through the railing to create an interesting pattern on the ground. And yes, that is actually the sun. No Photoshop tricks here!
This p0rtrait really stood to me, literally. The depth of field plus the colors really made Veronique and the bench really pop out from the background.
We decided to wrap it up at the park, then head to the Carlyle House since the sun was starting to get high and harsher.
